John Deere 5050 Fuel Tank Strainer

dry type air filter two Problems

I was mowing the brush, after 45 minutes of operation the tractor began to randomly lose power and revs.I am going to remove the fuel from the tank and inspect the filter and also clean and change the fuel filter.

I am thinking of removing the fuel filter from the tank and installing an in-line filter.Any cons of doing this.I’m just thinking that in the future it would be a lot easier to change a filter than to deal with one in the tank.

I recommend removing the strainer and installing the filter in-line.The strainer in the tank has very little surface area on the screen and is clogged with a small amount of debris.

As you said, an online filter will be much easier to maintain in the future.Of course, if you have good clean fuel, there shouldn’t be a problem, but we all know that some dirt manages to get into the fuel somehow.
